China's UHV DC Converter Transformer has reached international level

Recently, the ±800kV UHV DC converter transformer developed by China Tebian Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. has been operating successfully. This technology has reached the highest level of technology and the most complex in the world's transformer industry.

It is reported that on December 25, 2009, the ±800kV DC converter transformer developed by TBEA for the National Grid Corporation Xiangjiaba-Shanghai UHVDC power transmission demonstration project successfully underwent the highest voltage test at the Fengxian converter station. Three days later, the UHV DC ±800kV converter transformer developed by the company was successfully put into operation at the 1,850 meters highest altitude converter station in the world, China Southern Power Grid Corporation Yunnan-Guangdong UHV DC Transmission Demonstration Project Yunnan Chuxiong Converter Station.

At present, TBEA has completed one-year major scientific research projects undertaken by the State in the eleventh year ahead of schedule and has become China's first manufacturer with a full range of DC product manufacturing performance.
