Brand new processor naming

From the product development code, Core M is actually Broadwell-Y, and Broadwell-Y is a substitute for Haswell-Y. Where "M" stands for Mobility, between traditional PCs and tablet devices. From the manufacturing process point of view, although both Broadwell and Core M use 14nm process, Core M is not the fifth-generation Core processor, but the first 14nm product and the BroadWell-Y series.

The new Core M processor uses Intel's latest Broadwell architecture, and the production process has been increased from 22nm to 14nm. The 14nm Broadwell-Y core integrates 1.3 billion transistors and is only 82mm2 in size, reducing package size by 50% compared to the 22nm Haswell-Y processor.
