Kite power generation! The British people will use electricity sent from a height of 450m

In the southern part of Scotland, the first non-experimental, consumer-level kite power station in the UK will be built, which is at the forefront worldwide.

The power station will be located in the Stranraer region, behind which the company name is Kite Power Solutions (KPS) and is backed by the Dutch Shell Petroleum Company and the British government.

The kite is about 40m wide and can fly up to a height of 450m where there will be continuous wind. The kites will move in a trajectory in the shape of number 8, and a cable connects it to the turbine on the ground to generate electricity. Two kites took turns to ensure continuous power production.

It is reported that a single kite can produce 2 and 3 megawatts of electricity, and a farm of 1,000 kites will produce electricity equivalent to that of the Hinckley C nuclear power plant being built in the UK. In addition, KPS believes its system can cost less than half the cost of offshore wind power.

In the Stranraer region, where wind power is sufficient, KPS expects to produce electricity for only about 10 days of the year. In this case, the company will use a small fan to keep the kite floating in the air to wait for more. Wind power.

KPS had previously built an exemplary small kite power station in Essex, UK, after which Italy also had a large-scale research project using kite power generation.
