QuickLogic, an innovator in the ultra-low-power programmable custom standard product (CSSP), today announced that the company's S1 sensor hub for wearables is available immediately. This is an ultra-low-power, sensor-aware sensor hub optimized for next-generation wearables. QuickLogic's solution is a complete, off-the-shelf product that OEMs can use to develop next-generation wearables, especially in the fitness and healthcare sectors, to accelerate time to market.

The S1sensor hub for wearables, using the company's ArcticLink ® 3 S1 semiconductor chip platform, is the latest standard CSSP product and extends to the future sensor hub semiconductor chip platform on the QuickLogic roadmap. According to market research firm NPD DisplaySearch, in 2014, the market demand for wearable devices may reach 48 million, and in 2015 it will reach 91 million.

The standard ArcticLink 3 S1CSSP solution for wearables is a ready-to-use, ready-to-use product with the following main features:

• Supported use scene recognition: walking, running, cycling, in-car use, wearing on the body, not wearing on the body

• Supported gesture recognition: tap to wake up, turn your wrist to wake up

• Supported user features: pedometer, including separate running and walking steps count

• Supported operating systems: Android 4.4 (KitKat) and Thread X real-time operating system (RTOS)

• Power consumption: less than 250 microwatts

It supports a wide range of popular scene and gesture recognition features that OEMs can use to flexibly develop smarter, more accurate, and more intuitive fitness and wellness devices for a wide range of activities. In addition, to accommodate the low-power architecture of wearable devices, the S1Sensor hub for wearable devices includes unique QuickLogic system timing and control features. Wearing uninterrupted real-time computing on QuickLogic's sensor hub reduces overall system power consumption and extends battery life.

“The wearable device market in the early stages of development is an ideal place for our ultra-low-power, sensor-aware Sensor hub solution. This widely distributed market is expected to grow rapidly.” QuickLogic Worldwide Brian Faith, vice president of sales and marketing, said. "We believe that our S1 ultra-low-power sensor hub, combined with the use of scene-aware and gesture-recognition capabilities, is designed for the wearable device market, and OEMs can use it to provide a unique feature for the market. ”

Supply

The ultra-low-power S1 sensor hub for wearable devices made into standard CSSP products is available today.

The ArcticLink 3 S1 sensor sensor hub platform is independent of processors, sensors and algorithms, and OEMs can customize to their requirements through QuickLogic's previously announced Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

The PLC splitter is used to separate or combine optical signals. A PLC is a micro-optical component based on planar lightwave circuit technology and provides a low-cost light distribution solution with the small form factor and high reliability.

Rackmount Splitter is manufactured using silica glass waveguide circuits that are aligned with a v-groove fiber array chip that uses ribbon fiber. Once everything is aligned and bonded, it is then packaged inside a miniature housing. PLC splitter has high-quality performance, such as low insertion loss, low PDL, high return loss, etc.

Advantages
Suitable for multiple operating wavelengths (1260nm – 1650nm); unstinted.
Equal splitter ratios for all branches.
Compact configuration; smaller size; small occupation space.
Good stability across all ratios.

High quality; low failure rate.
