[Robot] System application analysis of painting robot

The extensive use of painting robots has greatly liberated the labor force working in hazardous environments, and has greatly improved the production efficiency of automobile manufacturing enterprises, and brought stable spraying quality, reduced finished product repair rate, and improved paint utilization and reduction. The discharge of waste paint and waste solvents helps to build an environmentally friendly green factory.

At present, the spraying robots supplied on the international market can be roughly classified into the following categories: according to whether they have the function of horizontal movement along the running direction of the body conveyor chain, and are divided into rail-mounted and fixed-mounted robots; Floor-standing and cantilever robots. Floor-standing robots have the advantage of being easy to maintain and clean. Orbital robots have the advantage of a relatively large working range. The cantilever robot can reduce the width of the spray booth to reduce energy consumption.

Spray line equipment

Taking the technical transformation project of our company's painting workshop as an example, the workshop has an automatic whole vehicle spraying line, which divides the spray booth unit by function. The middle coat uses 4 floor-mounted fixed-mount robots, the paint adopts 8 floor-standing track robots, and the varnish also uses 8 floor-standing track robots. In order to improve the production cycle, this technical transformation plan is: adding four sets of floor-mounted fixed installation robots of the same type in the middle coating area. A new topcoat line was built, in which 8 cantilevered orbiting robots were used in the paint area, and 8 cantilevered orbiting robots were also used in the varnish area. The complete set of equipment is imported from the United States, and the production cycle can be doubled after the completion of the transformation. The plane diagram of the spray booth system unit is shown in Figure 1. Regardless of the type of robotic equipment, the system application principles are similar. The main sub-functions are: cantilevered orbiting robot (see Figure 2), floor-mounted orbiting robot (see Figure 3) and landing-free trackless Robot (see Figure 4).
