Just now, Dr. Wu and Dr. Yang introduced that OLED is an emerging flat panel display device that should belong to the next generation of flat panel display devices. How should China develop this technology? We will talk to you through the path that Visionox has gone through in recent years.

Everyone knows that the information industry has four pillar industries. Among them, the flat panel display is one of the four pillar industries. The flat panel display has been developing very fast recently. In 2008, the flat panel industry reached a value of more than 100 billion yuan, so it is a very important industry. The flat panel display has not been developed as a strategic industry at the national level, and it has been listed as a major national special project. Therefore, we feel that we should make a good appeal to how to develop our flat panel display industry in China.

I mainly want to emphasize a few problems. One is that CRT has basically been given to flat panel display devices since 2000. At present, TFT dominates, and PDP has a stable development in the next five to ten years. OLED new generation flat panel display From our level, it is still relatively optimistic. Of course, it also includes some things like PDP. In the future, it should be more and more mature. If you go down, there may be flexible display and 3D display, which will have good development prospects in display technology.

You can see why OLED has such a good development prospect. From the material point of view, it uses organic synthetic materials. There are tens of thousands of such materials, which can be synthesized back and forth, so its transformation is very easy and performance. It is easy to improve, from the material to the liquid crystal, the liquid crystal type is relatively small, there are hundreds of thousands to thousands. Another structure is very simple and can be made very thin, the whole process is relatively simple, the structure is relatively simple, in the long run, its manufacturing cost can be lower than that of liquid crystal, and then its display is much better than liquid crystal, and it The response is very fast, this monitor is very good, it is very good for low temperature and ultra-thin.

At present, OLED is still in the initial stage of technology. Sony's first TV was the first to develop 11-inch OLED TV in 2007. What are the characteristics of this? The industry commented that it has never seen such a beautiful image, can faithfully restore the reflection of the car body under strong sunlight, and the silvery scene of the motorcycle, LCD-TV is very difficult to do.

At a recent show in Japan, Mitsubishi showed a 155-inch spliced ​​OLED display, indicating that it is possible to do it. There are actually many directions for the development of OLEDs, not only the development of the big direction, the second can be done very thin, and the other one can achieve transparent display, Samsung also do transparent display, we also do transparent display, also Can be made on both sides.

Another one is micro-display, mainly for helmet TV. This is a good development direction. Recently, Vision has a development direction to make projections in mobile phones, saying that I want to do A3 or A4 images. Can be displayed on the desktop. OLED actually develops in the future. We summarize about three directions, one is small size, large size, and lighting.

The following is a brief introduction to the history of the process and the liquid crystal. The LCD process has been around for more than 100 years. The real product became the Japanese who started around 1971. It has been nearly 40 years since 1971. OLED has been around for nearly 20 years since its inception in 87 years. It has several stages. In 1987, the first small-molecule OLED display came out. Then, in 1990, the University of Cambridge invented the polymer display. In 1998, UDC Company invented the fluorescent display. The fluorescent light-emitting efficiency is very high, and the luminous efficiency is improved, and the display brightness or the power consumption are reduced.

The following describes the market of OLED. From the analysis, the growth rate from 2008 to 2015, LCD growth is around 8%, and the average annual growth rate of OLED is around 20%. It is estimated that this year will be about 600 million US dollars, and by 2015 it may reach more than 6 billion US dollars. There is also a market for OLED lighting that is projected to reach $6 billion by 2018. There are major lighting manufacturers such as Philips and GE that have OLED lighting mass production plans. The latest developments, lighting mainly with LED ratio, of course, can also be compared with the fluorescence ratio, the recent progress in 2008 Germany BASF and Osram Opto Semiconductors made the luminous rate of 60Lm / W. The following mainly talk about AMOLED. In the second quarter of 2009, AMOLED shipments reached 5 million. With the advancement of speed technology, AMOLED will enter more medium and large size applications, and will enter the notebook computer in mid-2010. At the end of 2010, 20-29 inches of OLEDTV will enter the market. At the end of 2011, more than 30 inches of OLEDTV will enter. City often

The development of China's OLED industry is mainly concentrated in Sichuan, Bohai Bay, including Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Jilin, the Pearl River Delta, and the Yangtze River Delta. Now there are three real industrializations, one is Visionox and the other is Hongshi. There is also a rainbow.

If China's OLED development should be started from 1996, we should start to focus on the development of technology, such as the development of materials, including the mechanism, and in this process, we have made breakthroughs in technological innovation. It will become an innovative, autonomous, and strong industry, so it depends entirely on innovation. In addition, OLEDs in our country are actually involved in the formulation of international standards. This should be started in 2002 to participate in the formulation of international OLED standards, and completed the formulation of two domestic standards.

Visionox has gone through three stages. The first is the technology development phase from 2006 to 2010, and the Chinese line began in 2010. This is the color screen we developed. This is also one of the few manufacturers that should be developed for the development of AM technology in the future.

Visionox is recognized by independent innovation products, and another is the development of AMOLED. Visionox cooperates with Kunshan Institute of Industrial Technology to form a research center with new flat panel display technology. The focus is on the development of AMOLED technology, and recently our equipment. The introduction and construction of the plant are all intensifying, and we expect to be operational in the middle of next year.

Talk about some of our experiences. As an innovative industry, we have come from this process. One is that enterprises are the subject of technological innovation, and production, education and research are closely integrated. Visionox is a way of doing business, research and research. We PM came here. AM is also planning to go this way. We hope to achieve large-scale production of AMOLED within a few years. This plan has basically been made.

The development of science and technology innovation industry must have a suitable external development environment. The first scientific and technological innovation needs the support of good economic strength. The development of the secondary industry requires a complete industrial chain based on the strong support of the third government policy and funds.

The main problems in the OLED industry, the first key materials are not matched, and basically rely on imports. Second, high-quality, low-cost production technology needs further development. The development and industrialization of large-size OLED technology is very different from that of foreign countries. The supporting policies for the tertiary industry need to be further strengthened.

One suggestion is to build a system of OLED technology innovation combining production, education and research. In fact, I think OLED has an opportunity. Globally, there is no real technical problem, such as which route to go in the big size, each manufacturer. Have your own route, so your route of innovation is very big, so we must establish a good innovation system. Our idea should be led by the state and enterprises, and establish the OLED National Engineering Laboratory or the OLED National Engineering Center. The industry's open common technology research and development, transformation platform; support talent training; support the horizontal and vertical integration and cooperation of enterprises.
