Lattice launches two new revolutionary superMHL/HDMI 2.0 solutions

Portland, Oregon, USA - October 6, 2015 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC), a leading provider of customized smart interconnect solutions, today announced the company's video solutions portfolio New members supporting the superMHLTM and HDMI® specifications are available for future living room applications. The new Sil9398 receiver and Sil9630 transmitter can transmit 12-bit color depth 8K 60fps video using multi-channel superMHL technology. At the same time, the above devices support the HDMI 2.0 specification and can fully reach the 18Gbps rate. The main features of the two chips include High Dynamic Range (HDR) and extended color gamut, enabling devices such as set-top boxes (STBs), game consoles and multimedia players to be connected to each other via a pluggable cable. · The new Sil9398 receiver and Sil9630 transmitter can transmit 12-bit color depth 8K 60fps video using multi-channel superMHL technology. The devices also support the HDMI 2.0 specification and can fully reach 18Gbps.

· All of the above devices support HDCP 2.2 to meet the demanding requirements for secure transmission of premium content.

Sil9398 – 2:1 dual mode video receiver

The Sil9398 is a dual mode video receiver. One receiver port supports superMHL or HDMI 2.0 signals and the other supports HDMI 2.0 signals.

Sil9630 – Dual Mode Video Transmitter

The Sil9630 is a dual-mode superMHL/HDMI video transmitter that supports 8K 60fps video transmission with the Sil9398. It can also be used with recently released superMHL receivers, including Sil9396 and Sil9779.
