How to apply them in depth becomes the focus of the discussion. In your opinion, what are the major difficulties in the in-depth application of LED at this stage?

Cai Ming: At present, LED street lighting promotion is not the main technical issue but the price issue. The standards set by the three ministries and commissions of the industry concerned about the demonstration projects of LED lighting products are quite high. Some performance requirements even exceed the standards of foreign countries. From the result of the tender, the current LED products have reached the level of detection. Its requirements. Therefore, there are no bottlenecks in the technical aspects of products. With further application, the main problem in the occupation of the market is higher prices. One of the reasons is that good chips are mainly controlled by foreign companies and price barriers are difficult to break.

As for the heat dissipation of the product, the heat resistance of the chip and the heat dissipation of the driving power supply itself have been better solved. The driver chip is similar in design to the LED chip. The internal capacitor used is a heat-resistant temperature. No matter how good the capacitance is, if the temperature exceeds 100 degrees, the life of the driver chip will also decay. If you can solve the problem of heat dissipation, it is no problem to drive the power supply to reach 30,000 hours of life. Of course, the premise that I talked about is that the components used for the drive are well selected, and the price difference between excellent and inferior products can reach about 10 times. Cai Ming: Now almost every traditional lighting manufacturer has involved LED street lighting projects. Compared with the previous two years, the market acceptance has improved significantly. LED street lights include two markets - new markets and replacement markets, with a larger share of replacement markets. Successful entry into the replacement market involves many issues, such as price, consumer acceptance of new products, and so on. The current situation is more likely to stop at the demonstration stage.

China Semiconductor Lighting Network: For LED street lighting companies, what issues should be paid attention to in the market? What is the expectation of the LED industry in 2011 on the establishment of standards?

Cai Ming: For enterprises to apply the market in depth, we must first ensure the quality of products, so that consumers can use the ease of security, prices as close to the traditional street lights. LED street lights have a large price reduction space, and the development of light sources is very fast. In terms of luminous flux, the current price of light sources is about 2 US dollars/100 lumens. It is expected that by 2015, the price of light sources can be reduced to 2 yuan/100 lumens luminous flux. In addition, the chip factory also has plans, Cree 160lm / W of the light source has been produced, which will make the overall performance of the luminaire increased a lot. In short, the entire market is much faster than we think.

In 2011, the entire industry paid high attention to standards, and the lack of standards was an important factor restricting the in-depth application of LED lighting products. Energy-saving certification has also introduced new testing standards for reference. Currently, there are no relevant standards for market access and they need to be established as soon as possible. The other is that the standardization of the module needs to be determined as soon as possible to achieve the versatility and interchangeability of the product. Finally, the state should protect intellectual property rights and prevent the occurrence of imitation, which is also an obstacle to LED technology innovation.

China Semiconductor Lighting Network: Some experts pointed out that in order to ensure the harmony between the original street lamp design and the environment, the replacement of the LED street light can take the form of changing the light bulb. What do you think of it?

Cai Ming: From the perspective of energy conservation, it is not said that the luminous flux of LED is much higher than that of traditional street lamps. The efficacy of conventional street lamps such as high-pressure sodium lamps can also be 120 lm/W or even 140 lm/W. The efficacy of LEDs is also good. About 120lm/W, why does LED save electricity? Mainly because of its light distribution, LED is unidirectional light, no loss of light, high light utilization. In addition, from the perspective of heat dissipation, if the LED street lamp adopts the original lighting form, it is difficult to solve the heat dissipation problem. Therefore, we should give full play to the advantages of LED street lamps and design innovative lamps based on actual needs.
