1. Frequency interference

Theoretical analysis and test conclusions show that Femto and the same system 3G network use different frequency point networking, and there is almost no interference with each other. The interference between Femto of the same standard can be solved in the family scenario through Femto automatic scrambling code allocation and automatic transmission power adjustment. Femto interference between adjacent families is very small and does not affect the user experience; Femto in the enterprise scenario It can be effectively avoided by automatically acquiring the parameters of the neighboring cell and automatically configuring the neighboring cell relationship to realize the unique soft handover characteristics of 3G.

The conclusion of the test research also shows that the introduction of Femto can improve the 3G indoor coverage level and reduce the mobile phone transmission power, thereby reducing the electromagnetic radiation of the mobile phone, so that users can use green 3G services with greater confidence.

2. Mobility management

Femto will adopt the same mobility strategy when introducing 2G network into 3G network coverage, that is, preferentially stay in Femto, and reselect with bidirectional 3G network in idle state, and unidirectional handover with 3G network in call state.

The conclusion of the test research shows that the handover between Femto and 3G network is a hard handover based on MSC, and the actual test success rate is better than the 3G to 2G different system handover. 3. Management and operation and maintenance

Femto is positioned as a product form of fixed and mobile convergence. Its management and maintenance mode has been clearly defined in 3GPP R8. It will adopt the same management method as the massive devices such as home gateways: passive maintenance, and some Femto adopt active maintenance ( Such as important users and high-end users). In addition, the concept of an AP area can be established to achieve unified management of the same area, such as unified delivery of area configuration parameters and batch upgrades for APs in the area to improve operation and maintenance efficiency.

4. Impact on Macro Network

Femto improves 3G coverage in the application area. When there is no 3G signal coverage in the application area, users can access Femto to enjoy normal 3G services and improve the user experience of the 3G network. When the application area originally has 3G signal coverage, Femto provides independent 3G capacity can improve the experience of higher-speed 3G data services.
