Japanese companies look to the Chinese market Sharp's most advanced products in China

Although the sales situation of domestic color TVs in the first half of the year is not optimistic, Japanese consumer electronics giants who suffered major earthquakes still regard China as the most important market in the world.

Yesterday, Sharp announced in Shanghai that it will launch its first 70-inch LCD TVs in the Chinese market by the end of this month. Sharp claims that the world’s most advanced product is not listed in Sharp’s headquarters, Japan. This is also the beginning of this month, Toshiba will be the world's first 56-inch naked-eye 3D LCD TV China debut, another Japanese company chose to start in China.

Director of the Sharp Commerce & Trade (China) Co., Ltd. and President Ozawa Ozawa told reporters that in the first half of the year, Sharp continued to achieve a 30% year-on-year growth in the overall growth of the color TV market. Among them, the pulling effect of large-size products obvious. During the “May 1st” holiday period, Sharp’s 60-inch and larger size products accounted for 70% of the market, an increase of 300% year-on-year.

Ozawa Minzhi disclosed that Sharp plans to achieve a target of 20% to 30% sales of products with 60 inches or more in one year. From April to September this year, Sharp is even more proud of the goal of achieving a 10X growth in sales of large-screen color TV sets.

It is understood that Sharp is currently the only manufacturer with the 10th generation LCD panel production line. Sharp's 10th-generation LCD panel manufactured at Japan's Yoshiki Plant has a glass substrate that can cut out eight 60-inch LCD panels and seven 70-inch LCD panels. The current 8.5-generation LCD production line can only cut out three 60-inch LCD panels.
