Performance overview
CS8688C is a 2X15W+30W dedicated 2.1 channel Class D audio power amplifier circuit. Advanced EMI suppression technology enables EMC requirements with an inexpensive ferrite bead filter at the output port. The CS8688C stereo audio power amplifier is designed for systems that require high-quality audio power output. It uses surface mount technology to provide high-quality audio output power with a small number of peripheral components.
The CS8688C has built-in overcurrent protection, short circuit protection and overheat protection to effectively protect the chip from damage under abnormal operating conditions. With a power supply of less than 16.0V, the CS8688C can drive a 4Ω woofers and two 8Ω tweeters, and the overall audio subsystem is up to 90% efficient, eliminating the need for additional heat sinks when playing music.
Available in a small TSSOP28-PP package, the CS8688C offers customers a choice of significant PCB area savings from -40°C to 85°C.
